Dr. Daniel Kaboth

Daniel is a certified lawyer for information technology law as well as for copyright and media law.

He specializes in advising national and international clients in all areas of information technology law. The main areas of advice are contract and licensing law including general terms and conditions, e-commerce, digital platforms and social media, data protection law, Industry 4.0/IoT, IT security and topics relating to AI and the Digital Decade.

Daniel also advises his clients on copyright and media law issues, particularly with regard to the digital environment and distribution as well as at the interfaces to AI and data protection.

The third area of advice is advertising and competition law, the implementation of all EU and compliance requirements (e.g. Green Deal) in this area as well as the implementation of all ancillary competition laws.

He advises clients out of court and represents them before courts and in arbitration proceedings.

Daniel studied at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich and received his doctorate from the University of Regensburg under Prof. Gottwald. He was admitted to the bar in 1998 and after working in two large national law firms and being a partner in an IP boutique law firm for ten years, he has been a founding partner at TEAL since 2025.
