Website Visit
Providing this website requires the processing of certain personal data, such as your IP address. Such processing is necessary for delivering the content and functionalities available on this website and for implementing IT security measures.
The processing of your personal data for the provision of this website is based on our overriding legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). For technical reasons, it is necessary for us to process certain personal data (e.g., IP address) in order to make this website available.
As part of the necessary balancing of interests, we have weighed your confidentiality interests against our interest in providing this website. Your confidentiality interest is secondary in this context; otherwise, we would not be able to provide this website to you.
We use service providers to operate our website. In doing so, we transfer personal data to these service providers, who are contractually bound to exercise the same care in handling personal data as we do.
Applications
You may send us application documents by email or post. Your personal data required for contacting you and carrying out an application process will be stored for the purpose of handling your application in accordance with the relevant legal provisions. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and Section 26(1) in conjunction with Section 26(8) sentence 2 BDSG (implementation of pre-contractual measures).
We may process the following data as part of the application procedure:
- Master data (salutation, first name, surname, date of birth where applicable)
- Contact details (address, phone or mobile number, private email address)
- Application data (e.g., profile picture and other documents such as CV, cover letter, complete application, references)
If you are hired, your data will be added to your personnel file. Information about data retention periods can be found in the information on the processing of personal data of our employees.
If your application for a specific position is unsuccessful, your data will remain stored for up to 6 months after the conclusion of the application process for evidence purposes and the assertion, exercise, or defense of legal claims.
Events
In the context of events organised by our law firm, we process participants’ personal data (name, email address, name of organisation and country) for the purpose of organising and conducting the event and communicating with you in this regard. The legal basis for this is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (fulfilment of the agreement regarding your participation in the event).
During the event, photos and videos may be taken in which you are depicted. We may process these recordings for public relations and self-promotion purposes on our social media channels. The legal basis for this is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR in documenting our events and reporting on them on social media. As part of the necessary balancing of interests, we have weighed your interest in confidentiality against our interests in recording and publishing. Your interest in confidentiality is superseded if you participate in our event on your own free will after we have informed you of the possibility of recordings.
Data Sharing
Some of the data collected as described above will be shared with processors. These processors process data only on our instructions and not for their own purposes (Art. 28, 29 GDPR). The following entities process data for the purposes specified:
- IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur (website hosting)
- Tobias Heumann, Creator/Designer, Thierschstr. 10, 80538 Munich (website maintenance)
Retention Period
We delete your personal data once the specific purpose for storage no longer applies and there are no statutory retention obligations to the contrary.
Your Rights
Right to Object
If your data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (data processing based on legitimate interests), you have the right to object to such processing at any time. You can send your objection to office@teal.de.

Provided the legal requirements are met, you also have the following rights concerning your personal data:
- The right to access,
- The right to rectification or erasure,
- The right to restriction of processing,
- The right to data portability.
Finally, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority regarding our processing of your personal data.
