Amely Sophie Platz

Sophie specializes in advising national and international clients in various areas of intellectual property law. Her practice focuses on trademark and competition law. Sophie’s work includes both out-of-court advice and in-court representation in competition law issues as well as representation before authorities in in trade mark matters.

Sophie studied law at the University of Bayreuth where she completed a specialisation in ‘Intellectual Property and Competition’. During her studies and following her first state examination, she gained practical experience in various areas of intellectual property law, including working for a German independent institution enforcing competition law. She completed her legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Munich with stages in the Media & Entertainment and Competition & Antritrust teams of a US law firm in Munich and London.

Before joining TEAL, she initially worked as a lawyer in a Frankfurt based law firm specialized on competition law and for an IP Boutique law firm in Munich.

Sophie is a member of ECTA.
